A controversial one-and-a-half documentary on the issues surrounding the US Bases. Directed by Joel Lamangan, the show was aired on ABS-CBN 2. (1989)

Almost an hour-long, the video discusses the issues and plight of Filipino women today. It was aired on ABC 5 in March 1992.

Retells the Philippine Revolution from the perspective of the masses. It parallels the early Katipunan's initiation rites with the 300 year struggle. It was aired on ABC 5 in November 1992.

is a light documentary on the images and public personas of the twelve Philippine Presidents. Aired on RPN 9 in November 1993.

 

Citizens as Peacemakers

tackles the different experiences in peacemaking by non-government parties who attended the International Colloquim on Peacemaking in July 1993.

A video version of the Center's study on how organized groups participate or relate to their local governments in the municipality of Talaingod, Davao del Norte, San Luis, Aurora and Cebu City. Two one-minute TV spots were also produced based on the Talaingod and San Luis cases. These spots were aired on ABS-CBN in 1994.

Minsan Lang Sila Bata.

A 50-minute documentary of the personal lives of child laborers in a slaughterhouse in Cebu, the sugarcane fields of Leyte and the port area of Digos. Completed in 1996, the video was given the Gawad CCP and the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) recognition for Best Documentary the following year. It recently won again as Best Television Special after GMA 7 aired the video last January 1997.

Discusses the current issues in decentralization as experienced in the municipalities, cities and provinces; presented during a workship-seminar for the Asian Development Bank on April 1997.

Presents partnerships forged by the local government of Marihatag, Surigao del Sur headed by former NPA rebel Mayor Navarro and organized groups to better the lives of its people who have experienced war for so long. (1997)

Presents the successes of the town of Irosin, Sorsogon due to the belief of its mayor that active participation of its people in the improvement of the municipality is part of its governance philosophy. (1997)

Two one-minute infommercials or TV spots emphasizing the benefit of LGU-NGO partnerships in the local level. The Center is planning to air these spots on national television this year. (1997)

 

NOTE : Videos can be rented for Php 30.00/day or a copy can be bought for Php 400.00 on VHS format (Most of the tapes should be ordered first for recopying and can be picked-up after 3 or 4 days.

Another video in the making: Kayod Pinay: Kamusta Na, Kaya Pa Ba? A documentary in 2 parts. Part 1 deals with the life of a garments factory worker who has become a union leader trying to maintain a picket line against an abusive factory owner. Part 2 is on the lives of several Japayukis. The whole production is expected to be finished before the end of the year.
